Calculation of Ideal Knot Shapes using Biarcs and Simulated Annealing

Fragments of DNA can be tied in various different knot types, and there is various experimental evidence that the so called Ideal shape of a given knot are physically special. This project involves running and perhaps modifying, existing numerical code for the accurate numerical computation of ideal shapes of knots, with the objectiove of understanding their mathematical properties.
