Slinky
Slinky is a package built to interactively explore solutions of
an initial value problem for a system of ordinary differential equations
describing an elastic ribbon. The ODE system governs the shape of
an elastic rod that is used as a model of DNA.
The description of the original AVS implementation by
Kathleen Hoffman and
Randy C. Paffenroth
contains the most detailed scientific description of the package.
The package was then implemented in DataViewer 1.0 by
Randy C. Paffenroth and
Stefan Kehrbaum.
The most detailed software documentation describes the latest
DataViewer 2.0 based Slinky by Julien de Siebenthal.
