DNA Mini-Circles

 
The primary example that has been used throughout the development of VBM has been the problem of determining shapes of short cyclized DNA molecules.

Our model involves a discretized boundary value problem for a set of 15 ordinary differential equations. Typical dimensions of the unknown x are n = 2000 or so. There are many parameters in the problem, but we typically compute with m = 1 active parameter at a time using (a parallelized version) of the continuation code AUTO by Doedel et al
