VBM Data Probes and Data Reduction
The data reduction strategy available in the solution of
parameter dependent ODE boundary value problems is particularly easy
and good. In general VBM is designed to allow analogous, problem dependent
data reduction strategies to be implemented easily. The objective is to
store the least amount of data that will allow a rapid re-construction
of the full solution set by a Data Probe module. This is an active reearch
area. One example is to store only coarse grain information in a multi-grid
method.
